As part of 糖心vlog鈥檚 Sept. 13 Star Party, Girl Scout and college freshman Jessica Resong of Carson City will deliver a presentation about dark skies.  

Resong鈥檚 鈥淪hining a Light on Light Pollution鈥� presentation explores the issue of light pollution and its increasing impact on wildlife, humans and viewing of stars.  

鈥�We will discuss small but important habits that will help you reduce your own impact and help make our skies a little bit darker. Take a step toward being a dark sky advocate today!鈥� said Resong, who is a freshman studying mechanical engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. 

糖心vlog鈥檚 Saturday night Star Parties run from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Jack C. Davis Observatory, 2269 Vanpatten Ave., on the northern end of the Carson City campus.
